Crisis, Transition, Respite Services
Mount Olivet Rolling Acres understands the challenges individuals and families encounter when facing a crisis, transitioning to new situations or providing day-to-day care to loved ones with disabilities. We provide a safety net of programs for children and adults who have a temporary need for specialized housing with intensive services.
- Special Services Program (SSP)
A 45-day crisis program for people over age 12 with developmental disabilities who need stabilization, behavior assessment, and medication evaluation. Located on our Victoria Campus, the SSP team includes skilled counselors, behavior analysts, a psychiatric nurse, and support from a consulting psychologist and two psychiatrists. Referrals to this program must be made through the Metro Crisis Coordination Program.
- Campus Transition Program
Located in a six-bedroom, accessible home on our campus on Schutz Lake, this program provides a stable temporary home for individuals, over age 12 with developmental disabilities who are in transition and in need of active treatment. This program also provides respite for families, by offering recurring temporary placements, from two days to two weeks, for those individuals with significant care and treatment needs. Transition placements up to six months are accessed through the Metro Crisis Coordination Program. Contact Dave Aadland at 952.474.5974 for information on respite services.
- Children's Temporary Program
Located in a double bungalow in Richfield, this program provides highly structured active treatment for children under the age of 18 with developmental and other disabilities. Skilled counselors, with support from behavior analysts and nurses, support children with crisis or transition needs. A high staff-to-child ratio ensures that children receive the attention they need. Access to this program is through Hennepin County. Contact Steve Anderson at 952.401.4846 for more information.
