MORA Update – 8/27/2020
Like me, I am sure many of you are feeling scared, tired, sad and angry about the shootings in Kenosha, the murder/suicide in Minneapolis as well as the subsequent protests. As people who believe in the infinite worth and interdependence between all people, it creates even more anxiety and stress on top of very real stress and uncertainty of COVID-19.
Please know, you are not alone. We are here to support each other. Look to your left, look to your right… there are people at MORA that care and want to offer a listening ear. Please reach out if you need help or just need to know you are not alone.
And … Please feel supported to take a pause to think about what we can do next. Make a moment sometime today, during your next shift, as you go home just to pause and ask someone how they are. It’s a simple thing. That human-to-human, we do care about each other.
A PDF is below with two important updates – on enrolling in health benefits and on a new initiative to support staff with children beginning school. Please print for Communication Books.
Be good to yourselves,
