MORA Update 10-29-2020

Happy Thursday!!  Sorry to be sending this so late but…what a great day!!

What do the wise people say? That we need to see something 7 times before we remember it?  Please read the PDF below about sharing symptoms, testing, and positive diagnoses with Human Resources as soon as you know. We can only help if we know what help is needed.

Election Day: Tuesday, November 3

Thank you to all staff you have wiggled their schedules to help coworkers make it to the voting polls. Thank you also to staff who will be volunteering at the polls whether it is handing out red stickers, assisting our clients/residents in placing their vote, or driving people who cannot drive themselves. Let’s all remember to BREATH through the next few weeks. This election is historic in many ways, including the level of tension being created by the media. Remember, whether the election is decided after a day, a week, or a month, your vote counts.

Next Monday, Nov. 2 at 10am:  COVID updates from MORA Health Services Director, Jen Hall

There are truly ROCK STARS among us!
Tonight’s Halloween Zoom Dance was a joyful and technological success.  A HUGE SPOOKY THANK YOU TO the Recreation team of Stephanie Kohl, Nate McKenzie, Laurie Mahoney, Hanna Lea, and our volunteers including fabulous volunteer DJ, Jane Bohman. Also, THANK YOU to of our Direct Care/House staff who decorated, costumed, danced, and made special treats! Look for posts on Social Media!!  I’m still dancing!!!

Give to the Max
Minnesota’s annual fundraising campaign begins in November and this year our goal is to raise money to purchase new technology for In-Home, Residential, and ADS to help our clients and staff connect to virtual activities (like holiday Zoom dances!!!)  Listen for easy ways to share with your friends and families.
