COVID-19 Daily Email Update 5/19/2020
Somber news …. I want us to offer thoughts of healing for a MORA staff member currently very ill with COVID-19 in a hospital ICU. No other staff or clients were exposed and it’s a moment like this we wish we could share their name and deliver a suitcase full of get-well cards. In lieu, please take a pause and offer your good thoughts/prayers to them, their family and friends. Thank you.
Today Governor Walsh announced that 748 Minnesotan’s have passed away from COVID-19 (to date). Starting today, flags will be flown at half staff on the 19th of each month to honor and remember anyone that has passed as a result of this pandemic.
You must have questions?
We will continue to answer questions about Minnesota’s transition to the “Stay Safe” order in tomorrow’s Zoom Check-in (Wednesday, May 20, 10am)
Healthier, happier bodies
Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 20, 2020 is National Employee Health and Fitness Day, a day which this year happens to fall when many of us are keenly aware of how fragile our bodies can be. So, let’s make them stronger. The day is often accompanied by a pledge to renew commitment.
Try it: “I pledge to focus time each day taking care of my body. In doing so I am creating healthier habits which will improve my life and mood. Today, I choose to make one, new food choice and do at least 20 minutes of exercise up to my own inspiration, ability and lifestyle.” Or make up your own!
I’ll think about my own personal health and fitness pledge and share with you tomorrow…
Take care of yourself … Tuesday….
